POSITION
-Crewman at a remote family owned/operated Set Gill Net Site, located on the South end of Kodiak Island.
-Shore based living quarters.
-Fishing out of 18-25-foot aluminum skiffs with gill nets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist in opening and closing camp.
-Assist in setting and maintaining the gear.
-Picking salmon out of the net.
-Assist in delivering the catch to the tender.
-Share in domestic chores.
-Keep living quarters clean & organized.
-Assist in developing & maintaining the camp.
LENGTH OF SEASON
-1 June to 20 September.
SALARY
-% of the catch (consistent with the industry).
EXPENSES
-Transportation from Seattle to Kodiak round trip will be reimbursed, if you
do not quit and you do a good job.
-Share of grub provided.
-Responsible for your personal items.
-Rain gear and fishing license provided.
EXPERIENCE
-Prior fishing experience preferred.
-Will train.
